How To Tie A Tulip Knot
Tulip knot is the best choice for individuals who are fond of loose, relaxed looking knots. The key to perfection lies in keeping the knot as loose as possible so you get the desired spacious look.
A necktie itself is not enough to add grace to a man’s personality. Tying the necktie in the perfect way plays the major role. This article is another attempt to introduce a new exotic knot to diversify your knot tying skills. The steps are simple and not much expertise is required to master this masterpiece.
Step-1 Drape the necktie around the collar such that the wide end hangs on the left shoulder with the narrow end positioned over the right side.
Step-2 Make a dimple in the wide end and pass it beneath the narrow end towards the right side.
Step-3 The narrow end which is now in the left region should be brought upward from underneath the loop around the collar.
Step-4 Pull it back downward from front of the loop and hold it in the left region.
Step-5 Bring it to the right region from behind the forming knot.
Step-6 Again make a turn around the loop of the collar from the front. By the end of this step, your narrow end would be in the right region with the seam facing inward.
Step-7 Bring the narrow end in the left region from around the front of the forming knot.
Step-8 Pass it underneath the loop around the collar from the left side and make it emerge from the center region. The narrow end would lie exactly atop the wide end by the end of this step.
Step-9 Bring the narrow end to the right side and make it emerge from the left region by passing it behind the forming knot. A small loop would be formed in front of the knot.
Step-10 Pass the narrow end through that loop from left to right and ensure to keep the knot a little loosened.
Step-11 Conceal the remaining narrow end behind the loop around the collar.
Step-12 Loosen the knot further so that it takes the shape of a blooming flower.
Step-13 Even out the flaws with your finger and put the lifted collar back in place to flaunt around this unique tulip knot.
Tulip knot is the best choice for individuals who are fond of loose, relaxed looking knots. The key to perfection lies in keeping the knot as loose as possible so you get the desired spacious look. It consumes minimum fabric and is thus suitable for almost every tie. Individuals with all kinds of physique and facial cuts can opt for this exotic knot when going to a wedding or an elite dinner. It’s kind of flashy and pretentious thus its use should be limited to festive gatherings or casual events.
The outlook is obviously asymmetrical but it’s so charming that hardly anyone would pay heed to its symmetry. Tame pattern ties like solids and contrasts would look best with the Tulip knot.
