How To Tie A Vortex Knot
Vortex knot is an elongated, asymmetrical knot that is the perfect choice for special occasions like weddings, birthday parties and balls.
Learn to tie a Vortex knot without any difficulty by following these simple steps carefully.
Step-1 Drape the necktie around the collar with the wide end on the left side and the narrow end on the right side. The wide end should touch the waist line while the narrow end should be a couple of inches longer than the wide end.
Step-2 Pinch the wide end to create a dimple and cross it over to the right from underneath the narrow end.
Step-3 Feed the narrow end up through the back of the collar loop and pull it across towards the right side.
Step-4 Bring the narrow end on the left side from behind the forming knot.
Step-5 Bring the narrow end slightly lower and cross it over to the right side from the front of the wide end and below the forming knot. Make sure to keep your dimple in place.
Step-6 Again bring the narrow to the left side by making one complete turn around the wide end.
Step-7 Create another half turn using the narrow end and feed it upward through the collar loop of the right side.
Step-8 Pull the narrow end downward and to the right, tightening the spirals on the way.
Step-9 Cross the narrow end to the left side from the front of the knot.
Step-10 Wrap the narrow end over the back of the knot and make it emerge from the right side.
Step-11 Put two fingers in front of the knot and cross the narrow end from right to left over the fingers to create a horizontal loop.
Step-12 Bring the narrow end from back of the knot to the right side and again make a turn around your fingers.
Step-13 Feed the narrow end up through the collar loop on the left side and pull it out on the left side again.
Step-14 Wrap the narrow end around the collar loop of the left side to conceal it.
Step-15 Tighten the knot but keep enough space for your fingers to move around in the horizontal loop.
Step-16 Take off your fingers and adjust the knot so that the two horizontal loops are clearly visible, stacked on top of each other.
Step-17 Push the knot towards the center of the collar and smoothen out the wrinkles.
Vortex knot is an elongated, asymmetrical knot that is the perfect choice for special occasions like weddings, birthday parties and balls. It works well with light pattern and paisley ties and a medium spread collar is required to accommodate the several spirals.
