Step-1Drape the necktie around your collar with the wide end hanging on the left side and the narrow end on the right side. This knot is tied using the narrow end so it would be kept comparatively longer than the wide end.
Step-2Pinch the fabric of the wide end to create a dimple in it.
Step-3Wrap the narrow end around the wide end by making a 360 degree turn around it. You would end up with your narrow in the right region with the seam facing outward.
Step-4 Make another 180 degree turn around the wide end such that the narrow end now lies in the left region.
Step-5Feed the narrow end up through the back of the collar loop and bring it back down on the right side.
Step-6Cross the narrow end to the left side from behind the forming knot.
Step-7Again feed the narrow end upwards through the front of the collar loop and bring it back down on the right side. This would create an oblique band on the left side of the knot.
Step-8Feed the tip of the narrow end through the oblique band created in the previous step. Your narrow end would now lie in the left region with the seam facing inward.
Step-9Feed the narrow end through the collar loop and bring it back down on the same side.
Step-10Feed the tip of the narrow end through the same oblique loop and bring it on the undersurface of the wide end.
Step-11Tighten each layer carefully and conceal the narrow end behind the wide end.
Step-12Push the knot further up so it lies in close apposition with the center of the collar.
Wow! You’ve done it. Adamson knot is a really simple yet sophisticated style which can impart an aura of professionalism to anyone who wears it. It is ideal in business settings and for board meetings where you want to be the center of attention. Besides, it’s extremely easy to tie and even amateurs can master this look in a single attempt.
